Well, I made it safely too and from the Lake District. I did quite enjoy it, although I always feel slightly odd in very large groups like that but I managed to get a very good amount of reading done, so that was a good thing. On the other hand, I also managed to catch vomiting plague, which spread through the house, on the last night but one, which was a bad thing. A very bad thing. I am still slightly delicate but fortunately was recovered enough to drive home yesterday, which I was a bit worried about at one point.

I came back to find an email from my new employer, who are having a conference in my second week (I'm not sure exactly what that means - I haven't seen an agenda) which may include something very squeeful - I'll let you know when I've confirmed that I've not misinterpreted. Also 2 kitties who were very loving and purring and pleased to see us. Charlie even let me hug her - normally, she wiggles out of my arms pretty quick. I really missed my kitties! And oh praise for having R4 again - there was no reception at all in the Lake District, which particularly sucked whilst being ill!

The house is a tip but I've managed to tidy upstairs this afternoon and will now head down to have a crack at downstairs. And Tesco shopping. And bills. Ah, it's good to be home :)
